The Mission Department has three major tasks in foreign mission:

• manages mission staff and coordinates mission partnership in the Riau Archipelago
• acts as catalyst to promote and establish mission partnership among Baptist churches to capitalise on shared resources and offer greater contributions toward mission engagement in the region
• surveys new mission frontiers and provide relevant & timely information for potential mission partnership among Baptist churches

Our Mission Base in the Riau Archipelago serves as the Operation centre for mission staff involved in outreach to children and youths and home visits to the islanders. We sponsor and supervise a group of school-going children who need help with school fees, pocket-money and tuition. Mission Teams from Singapore, Hong Kong and USA visit our Mission Base several time a year.

The Mission Department also organises Mission Trips with Baptist churches to several countries in the region.
