Baptist Golden Age Home

“He gives generously to the needy, his kindness lasts forever.”

2 Corinthians 9:9

The Baptist Golden Age Home (BGAH) is a social ministry agency of the Singapore Baptist Convention. The vision of starting the Home was first conceived by the Women’s Department of the Convention. Through their initiation, a Management Committee was formed to plan and start a home for the aged. Since 15th March 1981, the Home has been operating.

BGAH seeks to provide a place where lonely old people can get together, interact with one another, share their problems and experiences, and find comfort, companionship and care. We aim to alleviate their physical hardship without sacrificing independence, to fulfill their emotional and spiritual needs to bring to their hearts happiness, hope and meaning. Residents are encouraged to be active and independent. They participate in the daily routine of the Home.

The Home’s main sources of income are from contributions by Baptist churches and individuals. A Financial Adoption Scheme was introduced to allow Baptist church members to adopt a resident for SGD 5.00 per month.

It is their hope that every Baptist member can contribute their part in the social ministry by doing the following:
– Visit the Home regularly
– Pray for the Home and its Management Committee
– Financially support the Home

The Management Committee and on behalf of the residents, wish to express their gratitude to all churches, organizations, and individuals who have so far contributed in bringing joy and happiness to the Home.

The Committee trusts that they will continue to have your support in the days ahead!
